King Juan Carlos Hospital / Spain, 2012 / Rafael de La-Hoz Arquitectos

Description

CRICURSA has been selected to manufacture the exterior skin for the New Hospital "Rey Juan Carlos" in Móstoles (Madrid, Spain). Designed by the prestigious firm Rafael de La-Hoz Arquitectos (Madrid), the façade has gorgeous rainscreen made out of more than 1000 romboidal "bubble glass" units with customised ceramic frit pattern.

For such a singular ocasion, CRICURSA has developed a new bending system that will allow not only meet the short lead time given but also the complex geometry the architect has designed.

Regarding the building, the architect points out: 
"We propose transforming the citizen into a client within a new concept of hospital where, apart of assisting him with the already proved efficiency of our professional healthcare system, he will always realise that he is the center of all care and attention". 

Rafael de La-Hoz has designed a hospital where he stresses the main points: "Efficiency, light and silence".
