Nike rippled glass façade wins Best Design Award, USGlass Magazine / Inaugural USGlass Design Award for Low- to Mid-rise construction

USGlass magazine has recognised Nike House of Innovation 000 in New York City with one of the inaugural Design Awards, recognising excellence in architectural glass. The curved glass façade has won the Best Low- to Mid-Rise Construction Design Award.

In the January 2020 issue of USGlass magazine, Design Awards in four different categories were launched to celebrate extraordinary glass: High-Rise, Low- to Mid-Rise, Interiors and Specialty Construction. The entrants are judged on Design Innovation, Aesthetic Achievements and Technical Difficulty.

The custom carved and slumped insulated glass units (IGUs), now a signature of Nike’s retail flagships around the world, are an exemplary use of glass which express shape, movement and direction. The House of Innovation 000 façade is an example of where engineering and fabrication possibilities are celebrated through architectural design.
